About The Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park

Malcolm Douglas started as a professional crocodile hunter in the 1960s but later shifted his focus towards preserving these animals. He established the Crocodile Park in 1983 in Cable Beach, initially with only 13 large crocodiles, aiming to conserve and educate about these creatures. Douglas produced over 50 documentaries, significantly contributing to Australia's wildlife awareness and conservation efforts. Malcolm Douglas's work highlighted the importance of crocodiles in the ecosystem and raised awareness about the need for their conservation and the protection of Australia's unique wildlife and natural landscapes. His passion for adventure and wildlife preservation made him a beloved figure in Australian culture, inspiring generations to appreciate and protect the natural world.
